On September 2, 2016, CEFC China held a ceremony for the equity transfer of Chad oil and gas blocks in Shanghai. Tang Xiuming, General Manager of Overseas Petroleum and Investment Corp. (OPIC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CPC Corporation, Taiwan and Liu Zhongqiu, Board member of CEFC China, signed a Deed of Assignment on transferring OPIC’s 35% equity of the oil and gas blocks in Chad to CEFC. They also signed the Strategic Memorandum of Understanding between CPC Corporation, Taiwan and CEFC China Energy Company Limited.


Chan Chauto, President of CEFC China, Liu Shengxi, Deputy General Manager of CPC Corporation, Taiwan and Nodjitoloum Yoboussoum, Deputy Secretary-general of the Chadian Ministry of Petroleum attended the ceremony and had a meeting afterwards.
