In his speech, Cui Zhenchu shared how CEFC China, with a special focus on Pudong, has coordinated and integrated the development of industry, finance and trade and created synergies between finance and trade to serve the “Belt and Road” Initiative by leveraging the favorable financial and policy environment in the SHFTZ and Pudong. He also noted that though facing a range of uncertainties both at home and abroad, CEFC China will continue to focus on developing the energy industry and building a financial service system to grow both domestic and international trade as they are in line with the national development strategies, seizing the opportunities of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, supply-side structural reform and mixed ownership reform, and following the overall trends of gradually heading towards a market-driven and open up industrial environment in China, particularly the energy industry. CEFC China will also make further contributions to enhance China’s presence in the international energy community and improve core functional areas and sustained economic development of the Pudong New Area.
